Kellie Martin, an American film and television actress most well-known for her performances in the roles of Christy Huddleston in the 'period drama' series "Christy Christy', Rebecca Thatcher in the Life Goes On, a family-oriented drama as well as Lucy Knight in the medical drama series "ER". Her other roles of note include her title character in The Hailey Dean Mystery series. Martin was the daughter of an employee of a department store and a kindergarten instructor. She began acting as a child at the age of seven. her aunt, who was an nanny for Michael Landon's family, offered to help Martin get a part as in the television show Father Murphy. In the years following her Yale University graduation, she focused on acting and was able to get major roles on both cinema and television.
